The Quiet Time

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE QUIET TIME Each Christian should make it the habit of his life to spend a quiet time with God at the beginning and the conclusion of each day. Seed to the Sower

In 1945, a group of men met together in England to discuss the need for a publication that would endeavor to emphasize that aspect of truth known as "church truth." Are You Ready?

1.   Before I came to Christ, like Israel I came from a line that was ready to perish – “ And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God, a Syrian ready to perish was my father…” (Deut. 26:5)

2.   But thank the Lord, He was ready to forgive – “ For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.” (Psalm 86:5)

3.   Now like the Apostle Paul, I am ready to save sinners through the preaching of the Gospel - “So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.”  (Romans 1:15)

The God of...

“The God of…”

He is the God who meets all our needs in every aspect of life:

He is the God of the Living and actively involved in the details of every day life – “He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. Ye therefore greatly err.”       (Mark 12:27)

He is the God of patience and consolation who patiently helps and heals us in our emotional distress – “Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus”   (Romans 15:5)

He is the God of hope who lifts our hearts above hopeless situations – “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:15)
